You can buy reach. You cannot buy relevance.
People do not choose what they want. They choose what is there. We map the options a market actually has, then we change them.
Stated preferences are not real preferences.
Ask someone what they want and they will tell you something reasonable. They will tell you what they think you want to hear, or what a person like them should want. This is not deception. It is the natural response to a constrained choice environment.
Most brand research creates that constraint, then mistakes the output for insight. A survey with five options produces data about those five options. It does not produce data about the market.
We measure the choice environment instead. The options people actually encounter, the defaults they navigate, the friction they absorb, and the moments where behaviour diverges from stated intent.
What people say.
What people do.
These are different datasets. The gap between them is where strategy lives.
We are solution agnostic. The culture decides the format, not a retainer and not a template.
Every engagement runs the same sequence. The sequence is not flexible. The sequence is the product.

No client is named without their agreement.
What does not change is the shape of the work: the question we are actually asked, the map, the position, the things that ship, and a behavioural measure agreed before anyone starts.
A small number of clients at a time.
Brand leads, marketing directors and strategy teams at mid size companies. Agencies that need cultural depth they cannot staff internally. Cultural institutions, festivals and tourism boards.
We do not work with local retail, with B2C brands that need campaign execution, or with organizations that have already decided the answer and need someone to validate it.
About the companyWhat we are watching, and why it matters commercially.
Signals is where the reading gets published: cultural shifts, market observations, brand implications, opportunity signals and field notes. It is written for people who have to make a decision, not for an audience.
If your research is producing comfortable answers, it is probably measuring the wrong thing.
We work with a small number of clients at a time. Engagements start with a 30 minute call.
